A studio of one.
ruminly is run by Johneric Pangan — one person who writes the code, draws the pebble, and answers the email. Independent in the plainest sense: no investors, no growth team, nobody to impress but the people who use what it makes.
Why this exists
Most software is built to hold your attention. The products worth keeping do the opposite — they do their job, stay out of the way, and are still good years later. ruminly exists to build a small family of those: tools that are fast, private, and calm. The first one is disposabl, a disposable camera your whole event shares.
What the studio believes
Calm by default.
No badges, no streaks, no manufactured urgency. Software should lower the temperature of a day, not raise it.
Own it, don't rent it.
What you make with our products is yours — built to outlast any subscription, ours included.
The hand should show.
Small teams make textured things. We'd rather ship something with fingerprints than something focus-grouped smooth.
Slow on purpose.
Ruminate first, prototype in the open, release only what we'd want in our own lives. Nothing ships because a quarter ended.
Now
Building 002 in the open — progress lands in the notes when there’s something worth saying. If you’re ruminating on something yourself — a pitch, a question, a hello — say hello. Every note gets read.
